GoalKeeper Coaches

Our qualified and experienced goalkeeper coaches work with goalkeepers that have played/coached at a high level. Academy coaches will take part in coaching development themselves and will either have or be on a pathway to coaching diplomas.

Frank Dileonardi – Academy Director and Director of Player Development

Chris Duggan – Princeton University Women’s Soccer

Chris Berry – Level 5 Goalkeeping Academy Coach

Eric “the Guru” Steele

Eric Steele is the former Manchester United GK Coach who worked with David DeGea, Peter Schmeichel, and Edwin Van Der Sar. Steele has also worked with clubs such as Aston Villa, Manchester City, and Derby County. Steele is currently working with the English FA and GK Nexus.

Steele has coached with Sir Alex Furguson and has been involved with the English National Team for over 11 years. He has also won 11 major trophies with Manchester United.

Frank DiLeonardi

Frank Dileonardi is Level 5 Athletics’ GK Director and GK Coach for UMBC Women’s Soccer Program in addition to being part of East Region ODP Staff. Dileonardi has 13 years of D1-D3 College experience and is the former GK Coach at DC United and the Washington Spirit Academy (Virginia).
